Multi-Tree Removals & Custom Pruning on Paulsen Lake Lane, Osceola, WI
Storm Damage Removals, Delicate Structure Clearance, Full Property Cleanup
Living right along the water on Paulsen Lake Lane in Osceola is about as good as it gets in St. Croix County, but mature shorelines come with their fair share of tree hazards. When we pulled up to Mark’s property, we were looking at a mix of storm damage, deadwood, and tight hazard trees scattered across the lot. Between the lakefront, the driveway, and the home’s outbuildings, this job needed a targeted game plan to clean up the property while protecting every structure in sight.
We had a variety of specific targets marked out across the yard. Down by the water, we had a declining Boxelder that was leaning toward the shore, along with an uprooted Black Cherry tree sitting in a precarious spot. Near the house, a small dead Boxelder was sitting right next to a propane tank, and a massive storm-damaged Boxelder in the front yard posed a constant threat to the lawn and driveway. For another Boxelder sitting directly above dog run panels, complete removal wasn’t practical without risking the fencing, so the plan was to top it safely. We also cleared dead limbs from a mature Oak and raised the lower canopy of a driveway conifer. Handling a complex mix like this is where proper tree removal planning really shines.
Working near sensitive areas like propane tanks, dog runs, and lakeside turf meant we couldn’t just throw heavy equipment around carelessly. Our crew set up our Nifty Lift SD 64, relying on its wide, low-impact turf tires to roll smoothly across the yard without leaving ruts or gouging the grass. Overhead access allowed our operators to piece out the storm-damaged front Boxelder limb by limb, lowering heavy sections safely away from the house and propane tank. On the ground, our tracked skid steer caught the heavy timber and moved it cleanly off the lawn without disturbing the turf.
After cutting every removal target down to a stump flush with the ground, we loaded all the heavy wood, branches, and debris directly into our main grapple truck. The crew raked out the front yard, swept up the driveway near the freshly pruned conifer, and cleared every bit of brush away from the dog run and propane tank. Mark’s lakefront lot looks open, tidy, and completely safe for the season, leaving him with clear lake views and total peace of mind.
